Upgrade to Premium

Stintsmith is a four-tier product — Free, Team Pro, Team Premium, Enterprise — and the choice is meaningfully different at each step. Pricing is monthly, in EUR, and we don’t hide it: the full feature matrix is on /pricing. This page is the narrative version for the captain about to make the call.

What unlocks at each tier

Free is for one driver. You get manual lap import, a basic stint planner, and your own Pit Wall. It is genuinely free forever and is the right place to start if you race solo or run a couple of league rounds with friends and a shared spreadsheet. The seat cap is one — invite a second driver and the system will nudge the team up to Pro.

Team Pro at €39/month is the first tier with a real team scope. Up to five driver seats, full race-ops (schedule, RSVP, run a stint plan during a race), and an opt-in to the global leaderboards. This is the right tier for a weekly league team or a race-night crew where data lives in the manual lane and the bottleneck is coordination, not telemetry. Live capture and the telemetry-aware planner are not in Pro — they live in Premium.

Team Premium at €79/month is endurance racing. Unlimited driver seats, live capture via the Companion and the EAC bridge, the telemetry-aware fuel and tyre model that powers /strategy/<raceId>, championships across the season, and priority support. If you run six-hour-plus races and care about a stint window holding up across a safety car or a weather shift, you want Premium — Pro will work, but it will ask the strategist to do arithmetic the model does for free in Premium.

Enterprise is the bespoke tier — SSO, SCIM provisioning, custom data residency, dedicated account management, and an SLA. The Discord and GridOS integrations live here as turnkey features rather than as DIY setup. Pricing is per outfit; the right path is to mail sales@stintsmith.com rather than try to fit a pro team into the self-serve flow.

How the 7-day trial actually works

The trial is opt-out, not opt-in. The moment a team on Pro creates its first race, the Premium surface unlocks for seven days — no card, no signup, no confirm checkbox. The point is that you run one real race weekend on the full feature set before you decide; the choice is made against an actual race, not against marketing copy.

On day seven the team drops back to Pro automatically unless an admin upgrades the plan. Nothing breaks at the cut-over — historical Premium data stays attached to the races that produced it; future Premium-only surfaces simply go quiet until the upgrade. The timer is per team, not per account, and it only fires once.

Billing, cancellation, refunds

Billing lives at Settings → Billing. We run Stripe under the hood, so the surface is what you would expect: a card on file, a list of invoices, the next charge date, and a tier-switcher. Upgrades take effect immediately and Stripe prorates the diff across the rest of the period. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal — you keep the higher tier you paid for until that period ends, so you never lose surface mid-week.

Cancellation is one click in the same page. There is no save-flow, no retention modal, no survey you have to argue your way out of. The team drops to Free at the end of the period; if you want to come back later, the same team turns Premium back on with a single click and the historical data is exactly where you left it.

Refunds are pro-rated. If you cancel mid-period — including mid-trial after an upgrade — we refund the unused portion of the current month against the original card. Reply to the Stripe receipt or mail billing@stintsmith.com and a human responds, usually within the day. Annual billing is on the roadmap and will ship cheaper than the monthly equivalent; if you need an annual invoice today for a team budget that demands one, mail the same address and we’ll cut one manually.
